Gala concert of Russian ballet “ To Petipa with Love” at Belgrade Kombank Hall

The gala concert of Russian ballet “ TO PETIPA WITH LOVE” was premiered on December 21 at 8 pm at the Kombank Hall in Belgrade. The concert was dedicated to two hundred years of distinguished choreographer, dancer, ballet master and pedagogue whose name sounds like an element of classical dance – Marius Petipa.

The stars of the Russian ballet, the brilliant soloists of Marinsky and Mikhailovsky Theater of St. Petersburg, as well as the Bolshoi Theater, were premiere a masterpiece of classical choreography, “icons” of the ballet genre – Pas de dieux, from the most famous ballet that the audience loves: ” The swan lake “,” Don Quixote “,” Korsar “,” Rajmonda “and others.

Performing this play “To Petipa with Love” was a unique opportunity for the audience to get acquainted with the choreography of the prominent maestro with the beautiful performances of soloists and world famous artists in ballet dancing.

Gala concert “To Petipa with love” was an extraordinary holiday of music and choreography!

The program, which was performed in two parts of 50 minutes, shown a special position of Russian ballet at the classical choreographic school that has influenced world art and which up to this date confirms the highest cultural and humanitarian values.

Marius Petipa – it’s a whole era of Russian ballet. The list of ballets performed on the Russian scene by the artist from the Marseille is very long – it has over seventy and original performances – 46, not taking into account dances for operas and fun theater plays. Every work of the Frenchman who dedicated his life to the Russian ballet is filled with deep sense.
